This long sandy and very popular organized beach is found just off Poseidonos Avenue, just after Kavouri, within an open cove; the beach is situated at a distance of some 20 kilometers southeastern to the center of Athens. The area around the beach is cosmopolitan enough, with modern buildings, but the place still retains something of the country atmosphere it used to have in the past, thanks to the trees and the nice sand of the beach.

Accommodation facilities, food and drink, entertainment and amusement, shopping and various every day provisions are fully available, as the beach is found almost within the urban tissue of the broader area of the capital city. Thus, there are numerous choices for any activity, any taste, even for any budget. Parking is easy enough and you will find several alternatives for night life, as well as coffee bars and stores in close distance from the beach.

The beach is fully organized with facilities for swimming, sunbathing (umbrellas, sun beds, showers) and sea sports and other games. You will also find a press center and a First Aid Station. The beach is one of the most expensive of Attica, but the services it offers are of high level and quality; one of the pros is that it offers facilities for disabled persons.

In case of health problems you may address to the First Aid Station of the beach, or to the appropriate services of the area around. In close distance you will find a Police and a Traffic Police station, as well as several services of the public or private sector.

Access to the beach is easy by public buses, running frequently, by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes. If you come by car, you will not have problems of parking, unless during the weekends. As the place is pretty flat, it is suitable for walking and cycling. If you reach the beach by boat or yacht, you may berth at the neighboring marinas, where you may also get all supplies necessary for your vessel.
