Milies, Pelion |
Milies (meaning “apple trees” in Greek) is a beautiful historic large village of Pelion situated on the overgrown mountainside, at a distance of 28 kilometers eastern to Volos. There are many things worth seeing in the village. The most important among them is the old railway constructed in the 19th century to connect Milies with the village of Ano Lehonia. For many years the train was out of use, but recently the line has been again set in work. |
