Platanias or Platania is a small tourist resort at the coast, some 61 kilometers far from Volos at the Southeast. As its name shows (“platanos” means plane tree in Greek), it is situated in an excellent environment and offers to the visitors a wonderful beach and sufficient facilities. The small port, suitable for small fishing and tourist boats, completes the picturesque impression of the village.
